The Dow Filmtec BW30-365 is a 8-inch diameter, 40-inch long brackish water reverse osmosis membrane element engineered for high-productivity commercial and industrial RO systems treating municipal water, ground water, and low-salinity brackish water with TDS below 10,000 ppm. Each element produces 9,500 GPD (36 m3/day) of permeate at 99.5% stabilized salt rejection — making it one of the highest-output 8-inch BW elements available for water treatment applications.
The BW30-365 uses a 34-mil feed spacer — the thickest available in the industry — which reduces fouling rates, extends membrane cleaning intervals, and lowers differential pressure buildup across the element. This is particularly valuable in systems treating water with elevated organic loading or variable feed quality.

Compatible AMPAC Systems
BW30-365 is the standard membrane element for these AMPAC systems: AP 9,000 / AP 10,000 / AP 18,000 / AP 28,500 / AP 38,000 Reverse Osmosis Systems.
Installation Notes
- Requires 5-micron cartridge pre-filter, dechlorination (free chlorine below 0.1 ppm), and antiscalant dosing for SDI above 3
- Free chlorine or chloramines will damage polyamide TFC construction — do not expose membrane to chlorinated water
- Wet storage: 0.5-1.0% sodium metabisulfite solution in sealed bag
- Maximum operating temperature: 113F (45C)
- Permeate flow rates for individual elements may vary plus or minus 20%
