Standard 10″ Sediment Filter, 5 Micron
The S10-5 is a 10″ x 2.5″ sediment cartridge rated at 5 microns. It fits every standard 10-inch filter housing on the market – the same housing type used in most residential under-sink RO systems, whole-house pre-filter setups, and water treatment stages worldwide. If you have a standard single-stage or multi-stage housing with 10″ sumps, this cartridge fits.
What It Removes
The polypropylene filter media catches sand, rust, silt, dirt, and particulates larger than 5 microns. It does not affect dissolved solids, chlorine, or taste. Its job is mechanical – stop particles before they reach downstream stages.
Where It Belongs
Install this cartridge as the first stage in any RO or multi-stage filter system. Sediment loading destroys carbon blocks and clogs RO membranes. Running a 5 micron sediment pre-filter before any other stage is the single lowest-cost way to extend the service life of your other cartridges.
Replacement
- Replace every 3-6 months under typical use
- Replace when system pressure drops noticeably at the output
