The Ampac BB20″ KDF-GAC Water Filter (Model- APC-02BB20) is a high-performance replacement cartridge designed for whole-house and commercial water filtration systems. This 20-inch Big Blue cartridge combines Kinetic Degradation Fluxion (KDF) media with Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) and Polyphosphate media to deliver superior water purification. It effectively reduces chlorine, heavy metals, bacteria, and organic contaminants while improving taste, odor, and water clarity. The filter is ideal for residential, food service, commercial, and industrial applications.

• KDF Media: Utilizes high-purity copper and zinc-based alloys to remove up to 99% of chlorine taste and odor from municipal water through a redox (oxidation-reduction) process. KDF media also inhibits the growth of bacteria, algae, and fungi by creating an electrolytic field and forming peroxides and hydroxyl radicals.

• Granular Activated Carbon (GAC): Highly effective in removing organic contaminants, which are responsible for taste, odor, and color issues in water. GAC filtration meets EPA National Drinking Water Standards for maintaining acceptable contaminant levels.
